Happy New Year everybody!!

2012 couldn t start better!!! 4days in Blue Lagoon together with Loick Spicher, Oli Stau, Marco Lufen, Julien Wiemar and Tim Kalhofen. The forecast was good and we had ideal 5.0 conditions on the turquoise flat water. It is just so much fun being with friends in such a nice spot, spending all day on the water and sleeping under the stars a few meters from the sea!!

One day in Prasonisi

Last weekend i had to be on Rhodes island and looking to the promising forecast i took my gear with me. On Saturday together with some friends we decided to try prasonisi. It was windy for 5.0 sail and quiet warm. Sailing was ok but it seems that the wound on my left foot still needs some time. Anyway i was really happy to sail again at the place where i learnt to windsurf :)

Dahab trip ended too soon- NEW sponsors!

Things don't go always as planned and so did my trip to dahab. After arriving in this beautiful small city and sailing 2 days full power on my 4.0, an old wound on my left foot got soft and opened again. Wounds like that one take time so i decided to head back home as i wouldn t be able to windsurf anymore in Dahab.

But there are also good news!

For 2012 Simmer Style/windsurfing@100 surfshop will be supporting me with sails and rig accessories!

And!

Adidas Originals will be supporting me with stylish and colorful clothes!!

September update

Following a super windy August, September was rather light without so much action on the water. Anyway the last 3 weeks i had to stay out of the water to let some wounds on my feet heal. Changing too late some worn out footstraps ended like that!

So try always to change your footstraps when they look damaged before its too late!!

Yesterday i was again on the water after all that time and i could catch some light wind action with my GO PRO! At the moment i just have one 90 liter freestyle board and i'm struggling a bit in the light winds.

During September there was some very special visitor in Soma Bay! Robby NAISH was here for an annual event so i had the chance to meet him and talk with him for a while! Super chilled and friendly guy, ready to help everybody with their windsurfing problems :)

On the 4th of October i m heading to Dahab for one month full of training and action!!!

It s been really windy the last days here in soma bay, mostly for 4.0 . I ve been training a lot pushing my level up. Here s a skopu from todays session! I ll try to film the next weeks and hopefully put together a nice video soon!

Easter time

It has been really busy over easter in soma bay and could not spend as much time as i would like on the water. Before yesterday i had a a short session during my lunch break and tried to film a little bit. Here is a culo try. I ve already landed some of them but not this time :)

Hopefully i will have the next days wind and time to film some of my new tricks!!

Egypt news

Welcome to my blog!! :))

After spending an intense summer 2010 in prasonissi-Rhodes, i arrived last november in egypt for a windsurfing instructor training so that i can find a job as an instructor and stay here to train freestyle. The plan was to head to Dahab after getting my VDWS instructor license in Safaga but then i discovered Soma Bay a real dream spot between Safaga and Hurghada with the same wind like dahab and perfect flat water. Since then i work at Robinson club Soma bay and go out for training every windy day. Its incredible how fast can one improve in spots like this! Unfortunately the club had to close for 3 weeks in february due to the cancelation of almost all the flights heading to egypt. Before going home i used some free days in the beginnig of february to film a short video

March has been really windy with less than 8 windless days. During this time i could improve a lot learning finally how to shaka and landing some nice ones on totally flat water. Also switch got better jumping the tricks with more speed and rotation (not like the slow motion jumps on video! :D). At the moment i m improving switch and normal kono and working on burner and culo! More photos and videos to come soon as there wasn t any good wind the first 10 days of April!
